Double Feature contains two great movies "Shaft" and "Shaft's Big Score", starring Richard Roundtree! "Shaft" is the original that started it all, widely cited as the first "blaxploitation" movie. Richard Roundtree plays John Shaft, the street-smart private eye whose hunt for a kidnap victim puts him between feuding syndicates. Isaac Hayes provides the memorable Academy Award(R)-winning Best Original Song (1971) and gritty score. "He's a bad dude," a racketeer says about Shaft in the sequel "Shaft's Big Score!" Leave it to Shaft to back up that statement in a way New York's wise guys understand as he investigates the murder of a client. Roundtree again puts on the hero's leather jacket, reuniting with director Gordon Parks.
